Injection Moulding

Devol offer complete project management solutions for injection moulded products from the conceptual design stage, prototyping and mould manufacture to reliable, quality-driven volume production moulding.

The injection moulding division was established in 1972 and since then Devol have steered away from becoming a traditional trade moulder and instead have concentrated our efforts on working with our customers to develop materials and components that are specifically tailored for their precise application.  Because of our intimate knowledge of actual materials and how they perform in real life applications, Devol are also in a position to suggest and recommend improvements in original specification.

The injection moulding division will assist customers in reaching their return on investment faster by selecting the correct material grade and optimising component design.  With our in-house tooling facility, Devol can both manufacture and refurbish tooling, giving a massive reduction both lead times and mould tool cost.

The ability to carry out finite element analysis, mould flow dynamics, solid modeling and kinematic simulation allows Devol to validate that components within assemblies fit together without fouling at the design stage – before any investment in tooling.
Application of these same techniques not only allows Devol to maximise new designs, but enables troubleshooting and improvement of existing componentry.
